Globular clusters

Globular clusters are very old parts of the galaxy, and can usually be found of the galactic disk. These clusters contains hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions of stars situated in a huge sphere, held together by gravitation. Popular objects are M13 in the northern hemisphere, and the magnificant Omega Centauri on the southern sky.
