Comet 17P/Holmes


This comet surpriced everybody with a spectacular outburst on 24.October 2007, going from mag 15 to mag 2.5 in a few hours. The constellation of Perseus suddenly got a new, strong, star. The comet developed during the following days, growing in size. One month later, the comet was larger than the moon in the sky, and larger than the sun in real size.
